Mission:
Greater Kingsport Alliance for Development (GKAD) is a non-profit corporation created through the efforts of Kingsport Housing & Redevelopment Authority and private citizens. The purpose of the partnership is to provide a means for the public/private sector to cooperate in providing affordable housing to low-income families in Kingsport.

Projects:
- Green Valley Manor – a 24-unit apartment complex in December 1997. These apartments are 920 sf in area and are available for rental by persons qualifying for affordable housing.
- Not for profit sponsor on Beason Well Apartment – 76 units of affordable housing
- Not for profit sponsor Hidden Oaks in Greeneville, TN – 72 units of affordable housing
- Not for profit sponsor of the George Washington School Senior Apartments. This is a 54 unit senior affordable housing complex that is a phase of the HOPE VI project.
